PD - Level 1 Surf Coaching Course

 Course Time 9:00AM
 Cost $425.00 (per accreditation)

Allows you to coach in a Surfing Australian Licensed Surf School
To gain accreditation you must:
- Attend the 2-day course
- Be a competent surfer
- Have a current Surfing Western Australia membership
- Complete the coaches’ workbook, which includes being, signed off for 20 hours training by a Surfing Australia Coach at a Surfing Australia Surf School
- Hold & supply copies of current certificates for Working With Children check, Applied First Aid & Surf Rescue Certificate (Surf Rescue Certificate or Surf Bronze gained through the Surf Life Saving WA)
- Have good English Skills
- Be over 16 years of age
The cost covers the 2-day course and once all documentation is submitted and approved - accreditation as a Surfing Australia Level 1 Surf Coach for 2 years. 

Conditions:

To gain full accreditation, there are several qualifications and practical requirements that are required to be completed by the candidate in addition to sitting the accreditation course. Candidates must: (These can be obtain after the 2 day course)

- Hold a current Surf Rescue Certificate or Surf Bronze gained through the Surf Life Saving WA

- Complete a Working with Children Check form

- Complete 20 Hours of Practical Coaching with a Surfing WA Licensed Surf School

- Hold a current Surfing WA Membership

- Be aged 16 & years or over

- Be a competent surfer (you will need to demonstrate this during the course)
