PD: Level 1 Flat Water (Canoe/Kayak) Assessment Day - GSCORE

Course Date: Friday 14th December 2018

Location: Camp Quaranup

Price: $266.74

Duration: 1 day

Description: Australian Canoeing Flat Water Guide assessment (Canoe OR Kayak). Successful completion of assessments will ensure teachers meet the Department of Education activity-specific skills based requirements for paddling in closed water, as outlined within the Paddling Procedures (in addition to a First Aid Certificate and Rescue Qualification).

What is included: The assessment will be conducted by Paddling WA. It is assumed that all participants have paddling experience and flat-water skills as per the Paddle Australia Qualification Scheme which has been emailed to you. Please contact GSCORE if you have any questions. Canoes and PFDs. Please note: if you need to be assessed for Australian Canoeing Flat Water Guide Kayak, you will need to bring your own kayak. Camp Quaranup have made their canoes available for all canoe assessments. Tea/coffee and water.

What you need to bring:

  • Lunch and snacks. Please note that catering will not be provided and there is no store nearby.
  • Suitable clothes for paddling (e.g. shorts, T-shirt, rashie)
  • Towel
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Personal water bottle
