Current programs on offer for Schools engaging in Snorkelling activities: DISCOUNT FOR OUTDOORS WA MEMBERS - JOIN HERE TODAY SISOSNK403A Instruct Snorkelling Skills Course This course is a Cert IV Unit of Competency and meets the requirements for Outdoor Education and Maritime teachers to certify students as ocean snorkellers. It meets all the standards as laid down within the Education Departments Snorkelling policy document, effective January 1 2019 for teachers to gain the knowledge and skills to become an instructor and qualified Supervisor in Snorkelling Skills. In water rescue, in depth knowledge and assessment protocols are delivered to provide a course structure and notes for teachers to deliver an Ocean Snorkel level certification.

Alternate course dates can be negotiated on a school by school basis or with combined schools to be delivered over weekends or during weekdays. First aid and oxygen courses can be delivered after hours on evenings.

Diversity Downunder Pty Ltd, trading as Sea Adventure Downunder provides services in maritime salvage, underwater cinematography and photography, recreational diver training, first aid training, recreational skipper’s ticket training and commercial boating courses. The company was formed in 1994 with Greg Lowry as the CEO. Greg is a PADI Master Instructor and PADI RTO Trainer with 31 years of instructor experience. Greg has also been involved in the advisory committees for the Secondary Education Authority, Curriculum Council and now the Schools Standards and Curriculum Authority. This year he was nominated to the panel as than Industry representative for PADI Australia and was subsequently appointed Chair of the Marine and Maritime Studies Curriculum Advisory Committee. He was also recently appointed Chair of the Australian Adventure Activity Standards Snorkelling review committee. Greg has also acted as a consultant to the W.A. Education Department for maritime and marine issues. Sea Adventure Downunder provides training course in Skin diving and skin diver instruction, First Aid and Oxygen provision and recreational diving courses. Greg retired from the Education Department in 2014 after serving 38 years teaching across the primary, secondary and TAFE sectors. Greg had served as a teacher, program coordinator, head of learning team, associate principal and principal.
