When: October 29, 2020 4-5 pm

Description
This webinar will look at implementing the Australian Adventure Activity standard and how each of the components of the framework work together.

  • The Australian Adventure Activity Standard, this addresses the common ‘requirements’ for all types of adventure activities

  • The Core Good Practice Guide – this provides additional information to help support implementing the AAAS

  • The role of the various activity Good Practice Guides that provide guidance specific to the various outdoor activities.

This webinar is designed to assist organisations and outdoor leaders to begin to review their own practices and look at ways to implement the framework of the Australian AAS in WA.

The Australian Adventure Activity Standard (AAAS) and related Good Practice Guides (GPGs) provide a voluntary good-practice framework for safe and responsible planning and delivery of led outdoor adventure activities with dependent participants.

Materials on the AAAS can be found at https://australianaas.org.au/
Hosted by Outdoors WA

We would encourage participants to go to the website and download the Australian AAS document and the Core Good Practice Guide as specific content and pages will be referred to in the document.

Note this is part (B) of the AAAS Webinar Series. Part (A) gives a brief overview of the various features of the new Australian AAS framework.
