Cave Trip Leader Course- DBCA

WHAT: Cave Trip Leader Course

WHEN: 18th- 20th September

WHERE: Margaret River

COURSE INFO:

The course is designed to increase the base of trained and accredited cave leaders who wish to use the cave and abseil sites of the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Park.

Pre-requisites for the course are:

* Current Senior First Aid certificate (or higher)

* Abseil Accreditation for vertical cave leader (Guide abseiling on single pitch natural surfaces- SISOABN305A) (Not required for Giants Cave Leadership only)

* A minimum of 18 years of age

* Abseiling and ascending experience (there are vertical entry caves in the program) is desirable but not necessary for horizontal cave leader candidates (Not required for Giants Cave leadership only)

* Six episodes of participating in an outdoor recreation activity where the applicant has acted as Assistant or Leader 

* Logged experience in caves of at least 4 cave visits in the past year


If only interested in obtaining Giants Cave Leadership then you only need to attend on Saturday 18th September
