Background to the standards development:

Standards Australia and an industry committee have been working through the adoption (with variations) of the European Challenge course standards EN 15567.1 and EN 15567.2 for the last 2 years.

The Steering Group has finalised the review of the current European standards and developed appendices to attach for the Australian context.

This workshop will discuss current progress for the project, explain how the Standard has been arrived at and help you to input your comments.  The process is now at the Public Comment state (9 weeks).

Who should participate?

Those who should consider attending this session include ropes course manufacturers and builders, outdoor peak industry bodies, equipment suppliers and rope course owners, operators and facilitators.

The meeting will be chaired by David Petherick, CEO ACA and David Strickland, Camps and Outdoor Sector Development, Sport and Recreation Victoria.
