Consultation: Unlocking the Rangelands (closed)

Unlocking the potential of the Rangelands
The draft Land Administration Amendment Bill 2016 together with the accompanying Consultation Paper is open for public comment.
Outdoors WA believes that this reform has the opportunity to transform the way in which pastoral land is utilised. A Rangelands lease would allow for increased land usage such as conservation and tourism development. We support the changes along with raising concerns to ensure that there is adequate community involvement with the release of each lease. This sort of recognition on the alternative use and value of the land is one step in recognising the value that protecting and supporting the development of outdoor recreation in WA.
We look forward to hearing about more camping and outdoor recreation happening in the rangelands.
