~ One of the most exciting conservation and visitor management roles in Australia ~
This is one of the most exciting and rewarding conservation/visitor management roles in Australia – a
rare opportunity to use your practical hospitality and visitor management skills as part of a team
protecting the spectacular Kimberley landscape and its endangered wildlife.

Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) – the largest private (non-profit) owner/manager of land for
conservation in Australia – is looking for a dynamic individual with experience operating a successful
visitor/hospitality operation to manage the renowned Mornington Wilderness Camp (MWC) and its sister
operation, the Charnley River Wilderness Camp (CRWC).

MWC is one of the Kimberley’s highest rated destinations, known worldwide for its scenery (sandstone
escarpments, ancient gorges and vast savanna woodlands), its wildlife (Gouldian Finches are one of the 200
bird species) and its integration with a working conservation project. Attracting 4,500 visitors each year,
MWC offers safari tent accommodation, a campground and a licensed bush restaurant and a range of
tours/interpretative products. CRWC currently includes a remote campground with plans for further
development.

Based at MWC, this is a stunning opportunity to oversee the continued success, and future
development, of two iconic wilderness camps which contribute substantially to the success of
Australia’s most effective conservation organisation. All proceeds from our Kimberley Wilderness
Camps are invested in the conservation of AWC’s Kimberley properties. Your success in this senior
role will mean more revenue to invest in the conservation of threatened species such as the Gouldian
Finch and the Northern Quoll and greater public awareness about AWC and the plight of Australia’s
wildlife.
