AW is seeking an experienced professional, who loves the outdoors, to join our dynamic team in 2019.  The Team Manager will lead, coach and mentor AW’s highly skilled team of facilitators to deliver our fantastic programs.

Team Manager – Field Staff (Full Time) $65,000 - $80,000 p.a. (plus car)

Commencing Feb 2019

AW is a thought leader in the outdoor education space, partnering with WA's most innovative schools to design and deliver inspiring and impactful outdoor adventures for our next generation.  With over 20 years' experience in this space, we are proud to be delivering brave, cutting edge outdoor programs that grow the social and emotional capabilities of young people.  Our team harness the power of nature and the outdoors to facilitate profound learning experiences.

But we can't do it alone.  We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our engine room in the magnificent Dunsborough, Western Australia.  Our Team Manager will provide leadership, training and mentoring to all our passionate field staff.  They will work closely with the Executive team and our HR Officer to ensure every one of our delivery team feel supported and mobilised to do their job effectively.

Core objectives include:

  • Provide leadership, training and mentoring to all AW facilitators and instructors
  • Foster healthy working relationships with all AW staff
  • Support Directors in achievement of strategic objectives relevant to program delivery and team management
  • Work closely with HR Officer to implement all HR functions to support and grow the AW delivery team

  • Rostering
    • Provide management and direction of programs
    • Develop and manage client relationships in the field
    • Ensure staff adherence to all AW policies, procedures, risk management strategies and standard operating procedures
    • Work closely with Director Program Delivery to design and deliver annual staff training and development
