Camping with your dog

When you’ve got a dog companion and want to go on holiday the options tend to become limited, but still totally possible.

Just be aware that dogs aren’t allowed into National parks so you will have to find somewhere for them should you wish to enter the parks during your holiday.

Dogs and other pets are allowed in only some state forests, water catchments, recreation parks and reserves. The best thing to do before you head out on your adventure is check the WA State Parks website.

Some parks that dogs are able to be in (on a lead and under control at all times), includes:

Big Brook Arboretum, Blackwood River National Park – Sues Bridge, Warner Glen, Sandy Cape Recreation Park Jurien Bay, Lane Poole Reserve – Baden Powell, Charlies Flat, Chuditch, Nanga Brook, Nanga Mill, Nanga Townsite, Stringers, Tonys Bend, Yarragil, Logue Brook – Logue Brook, Rapids Conservation Park – Canebrook Pool, Stockton Lake.

Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and are only permitted in specified areas of the park, sites or campgrounds.
