Bouldering is indoor rock climbing without ropes or harnesses. You climb walls up to about 5m in height, then climb or jump, back down. It is a fun, physical activity that requires a bit of thinking to work out how you’ll tackle each climb as you get to more complicated routes.
I’ve set up this event as this is my regular climbing day (~9am Saturdays) and I’ve left it open for anyone who wants to join me or try it out. We do now have a group of regulars that attend of about 3-4 people.
My best so far is level V4/14 (blue), so I’m an intermediate climber; Mary has gotten to ~V3 (yellow). We’re still building strength, and learning technique.
No prior experience is necessary. As a beginner, a safety walkthrough and online waiver will be provided on first entry (the waiver can be completed at home). If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Message me on this app if you would like me to meet you at the entrance; Otherwise, Saturday mornings are quiet, and you should be able to find me if you ask the staff.
