Statement from Outdoors CEO Adam Marr

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic death of an outdoors instructor in our Margaret River region.

“Our sincere condolences go out to the instructor’s family, friends, everyone present when this accident happened, and the local community. He was a well-respected and highly experienced industry professional and our thoughts are with all those who knew and worked with him.

“As you can imagine, the impact of this fatality is felt across the whole outdoors sector here in Western Australia and across Australia.

“As the peak body for outdoors activities in WA, we will wait for and support the authorities to complete their investigations before we are in a position to comment further.”
