Geocaching is such a fun and free way to get out and find ‘treasure’!! It’s like Pokemon Go, but real! There are hundreds of sites around Perth metro to find all sorts of hidden treasure that others have hidden in specific locations, you just need to track them down.
Download the Geocaching Intro app to find some treasure around your location or log on to the Geocaching website
Orienteering
Orienteering is a cross-country navigation sport for all ages and abilities. Participants use a map and compass to find their way around a marked course, traditionally on foot and in the bush although newer orienteering disciplines involve metropolitan areas, mountain biking or even skiing.
Orienteering WA offers coaching opportunities and once you have got a hang of that then there are many orienteering events of varying levels for you to participate in.
Rogaining
Explore by paddling or walking (or running if you’re competitive!) intricate waterways using map and compass on a hunt to find controls (points). Teams of 2-5 select their own route to collect as many points as possible. All are welcome. For more information check out WA Rogaining.
