Rowing is such an enjoyable activity to get involved in. Whether you row individually in a single skull, as a duo, a quad or with 8 of you, you’ll love the feel and sound of gliding through the water.
If you are keen to give rowing a go contact your local club and you can do a Learn To Row course.
ANA Rowing This 4-week course is designed to give you an introduction to rowing in single sculls and crew boats. Classes run on Sundays from 9.00-10.30am. Next available course starts on Sunday 31 July.
WA Rowing Club runs stand alone two-week Learn to Row courses from October to February each year. Training is on Monday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.
In this short rowing course you will learn about rowing technique, boat handling skills, river rules and discover the joys of rowing as a crew on the scenic Canning River. This course will equip you with a beginning knowledge of rowing.
The LTR is run over 5 sessions with each session lasting approx 1hr 30 mins, cost is $160 per person. Contact the club for course dates.
Come on your own, with a friend or in a group – it doesn’t matter. At our Learn to Row courses we welcome participants from all corners of the community, all walks of life, all shapes and sizes (ages 18-70).
“Learn to Row” is a 4-morning course held at the Murdoch University Rowing Club at the Canning Bridge boat shed (Mt Pleasant). These courses start at 7:00am Saturday mornings and run for about an hour and a half.
