Local park conservation groups
Put aside a little time to hang with your neighbours and help preserve your local natural bushlands and parks. Activities in these parklands include planting, watering and weeding as well as small events.

River Guardians River Guardians volunteers can take part in skilled volunteering projects along the Swan River, receive training in a number of projects ranging from foreshore restoration sites to being the eyes on our rivers and becoming a Dolphin Watcher.
Wildcare Helpline
The Volunteer-run Wildcare Helpline answers around 10,000 calls each year from members of the public concerned about a sick or injured native animal. They need volunteers to help answer these calls.
Darling Range Wildlife Shelter
DRWS volunteers rescue, provide care and rehabilitate Australian native wildlife in need including threatened, endangered and migratory species based in Orange Grove.
Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Kanyana Wildlife RC is based in Lesmurdie and is run by volunteers. It is dedicated to wildlife conservation by caring for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife in their hospital, as well as breeding threatened species, conducting training and research and educating schools and community.
WA Wildlife- Native ARC
Based in Bibra Lake you can help sick and injured wildlife return to the wild, there are a number of ways to volunteer to WA Wildlife.
West Pilbara Turtle Program
Help monitor marine turtle nesting and raise awareness of the importance of local beaches for turtle conservation.
Perth Zoo Docent
Become a Docent volunteer at the Perth Zoo in South Perth. Walk around and teach visitors about the animals.
POOPS- Pets of Older Persons– Volunteer Dog Walker for Old People
Here’s how you get your dog fix, do something helpful for an elder person (and their dog) and get outdoors exercising… all rolled into one. Volunteer to walk dogs for older people that still live at home with their beloved dogs but for health reasons can’t take their dogs out for walks. POOPs aim to keep pets and their owners together for as long as possible.
RSPCA
If you want to help nurture animals at RSPCA, there are opportunities to volunteer in the animal shelter in Malaga, fostering dogs in need at your own home or volunteering at various events.
River Guardians Dolphin Watch Dolphin Watch recognises the importance of dolphins as potential indicators of river and estuarine health.
